Course Design

AP US Government is designed to achieve four things:
- To provide access to information about the government and operation of the US Government
- To stimulate thought and conversation regarding the institutions and players in the US Government
- To encourage a lifelong interest in learning.
- To prepare students to succesfully pass the AP Government and Politics exam.
Economics will be devoted to your understanding of basic economic principals and the US Government's role in maintaining a free enterprise system in the United States. Textwork will be done in class through lecture, reading, and discussion. Your primary homework assignments will be problem sets based on in class material. In addition to these assignments we will work on one community based project and a comprehensive review for the AP Government exam in May.
